Join Kari Yates for a day of inspiration and practical learning rooted in the science of reading. Designed for K-2 educators, this session unpacks the six critical shifts from Shifting the Balance: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading Into the Elementary Classroom (co-authored with Dr. Jan Burkins) and offers clear, classroom-ready routines to help every young reader thrive. Together, we’ll explore what the research really says-and how to bring it to life with compassion, curiosity, and confidence. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 2-1/2 Consortium seats. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
