Proactive and Preventative Classroom Behavior Strategies/ In-Class Support *IN PERSON* presented by Jennifer Garmirian, M.Ed – 8:30-2:30pm
This interactive session focuses on equipping educators with proactive and preventative strategies to promote positive behavior and create supportive classroom environments. Participants will explore tiered behavior supports, relationship-building practices, environmental design, and routines that reduce the likelihood of disruptive behaviors. The session also highlights how to deliver in-class supports-including behavior-specific praise, active supervision, and low-level redirections-to meet students’ needs without disrupting instruction. Educators will walk away with practical tools and classroom-ready strategies that can be implemented immediately to foster engagement, consistency, and emotional safety.Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1-1/2 Consortium seats.If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
