I Got 99 Problems: How to Cultivate a Culture of Problem Solving in Mathematics Classrooms *IN PERSON* presented by Philip Dituri – 8:30-2:30pm

March 6 @ 8:30 am - 2:30 pm

What do you do when you don’t know what to do? “I don’t know what to do鈥 is a common refrain in math class-especially when students face unfamiliar problems or standardized test questions. Do they give up? Or do they problem solve? Unfortunately, explicit instruction in problem solving is often missing from the curriculum. In this workshop, we’ll explore practical strategies and routines you can use to help your students become confident, capable problem solvers. You’ll leave with concrete tools and next steps to bring more problem solving into your classroom. Together, we won’t just learn how to teach problem solving-we’ll become better problem solvers ourselves. Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit. Can use 1 consortium seat. If district pays, district approval must be confirmed prior to start of session.
